Under the watchful eye of the Cordouan lighthouse, the Médoc extends from the estuary of the Gironde River to the Arcachon basin.
Universally known for its wines and castles, the Médoc is also appreciated for its long ocean beaches, lakes and natural preserved spaces, to be discovered accompanied by a naturalist guide.

Located on the eastern banks of the lake of Hourtin, our establishment is an ideal “pied à terre” to visit the Médoc and its riches, discover the city of Bordeaux, the Arcachon basin, the estuary of the Gironde river with the Cordouan lighthouse, the Dune of the Pilat, etc.

Typical village of the Médoc situated between Soulac and Lacanau, Hourtin, with its white-sand ocean beaches and centuries-old dunes, managed to preserve its authenticity, its identity and its wild coastline. Enjoy all its natural assets and discover its lake as well, the biggest fresh water body in France, with its fishing activities, its marina, its traditional markets and its « Children island » dedicated to young people.

Propinquity with very different environments such as the dunes, the water bodies, the marshes and the forest also foster a wild fauna and an exceptional flora such as the otter and the European pond terrapin, the deer, the stag or the Marsh Harrier.
